Dear Parents/Guardians:

 The administration, faculty and staff of Pequannock Township High School cordially invite you to our annual Back-to-School Night scheduled for Thursday, September 24th at 7:00 pm. This special evening provides an opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and learn more about the curriculum and expectations for each class. Teachers will review the course proficiencies, explain their daily instructional activities, define their grading practices and share the wonderful opportunities that are in store for our students for the 2026-2027 school year.  

PTHS is proud to partner with the Prevention Is Key organization to provide the “Hidden In Plain Sight” presentation, which will be available starting at 6:30 pm in the PTHS Media Center.  This program sets up a mock bedroom and provides an outline for parents of some of the trends in youth substance abuse.  The program will be available throughout the evening.  There will be a brief meeting for Grade 12 parents at 6:30 pm in the Cafeteria.    The official program will begin at 7:00 pm.   We will be following your child’s ALL MEET Schedule, which is labeled as “Block Schedule” in Genesis.  You will report to your child’s first-period class and have the opportunity to meet with all of your child’s teachers.  The Administrators and Guidance staff will also be available for questions throughout the evening. Students from our Peer Leader and National Honor Society organizations will be available to assist you in locating classrooms as needed.

The second page of this letter (emailed) provides space for your child’s schedule of classes. Please have your child complete the schedule and/or bring a copy of their schedule from Genesis with you on September 24th.  Please be reminded that this will not be a forum for teacher-parent conferences. If you have a specific concern about your child’s performance, please contact the teacher to arrange a convenient conference time.

We encourage all parents to arrive early as Back-to-School Night is a well-attended event and parking can be at a premium.
